PIANO MAN BILLY JOEL

This is a song from the 70s. You may think it is too old but music is never old. It is good or bad. An this is a good song. Here are some opinions of listeners.

“All these good people here in the comment section have a great taste of music. "Music" of this generation will never get this good.

“Okay so I'm 16 and I know you'll all say how I'm just another kid who "appreciates older music" well I have something to say... My mom who's quite older hates the late 70's through the 90's. I actually like this music a lot. Billy Joel, Journey, Fleetwood Mac, they're all great. Don't get me wrong the music played today is good but nothing will ever beat songs like these. No one will ever play the guitar as good as Slash, no one will sing better than Billy Joel, this generation of music is just very unique to me...

“I'm 14 years old and I get chills when I first heard this song. How come this generation's music doesn't give the same feeling?

“Even though I was born in '99, I don't claim to be a 90's kid because, honestly I'm not. Whoa I spent a few months in the 90's. But I can also be honest about something else, just because I'm not a 90's kid or born before that doesn't mean I cant enjoy the same music as you. I'm not being "obnoxious or being a "hipster." I'm just enjoying some music that was before my time. It's fantastic. I'm not quite sure why people get mad when they find out I listen to a bit of older music. Music is music, if it's good, it's good. Just listen to it and be happy :)”

With a partner, read the lyrics and think what the missing words could be. Each one rhymes with the previous underlined word .

The Shoop Shoop Song

Does he love me? I want to know
How can I tell if he loves me so?

(Is it in his eyes?)
Oh, no you'll be decieved
(Is it in his eyes?)
Oh, no he'll make believe
If you want to know
(Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop)
If he loves you so
(Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop)
It's in his kiss
(That's where it is, oh yeah)

(Or is it in his face?)
Oh no, it's just his charms
(In his warm embrace?)
Oh no, that's just his arms
If you wanna know
(Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop)
If he loves you so
(Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop)
It's in his kiss
(That's where it is)
Oh, it's in his kiss
(That's where it is)

Whoa, hug him and squeeze him tight
Find out what you want to know
If it's love, if it really is
It's there, in his kiss

(How about the way he acts?)
Oh no, that's not the way
And you're not listening to all I say
And if you wanna know
(Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop)
If he loves you so
(Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop)
It's in his kiss
(That's where it is)
Oh oh oh, it's in his kiss
(That's where it is)

Whoa, hug him and squeeze him tight
Find out what you want to know
If it's love, if it really is
It's there in his kiss

(How about the way he acts?)
Oh no, that's not the way
And you're not listenin' to all I say
If you wanna know
(Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop)
If he loves you so
(Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop)
It's in his kiss
(That's where it is)

Oh, It's in his kiss
(That's where it is)
Oh, yeah it's in his kiss
(It's in hiss kiss)
(That's where it is)

Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud [Official Video]

"Thinking Out Loud"

Can you split the text into sentences ? "Thinking Out Loud" When your legs don't work like they used to before And I can't sweep you off of your feet Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love? Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks? And, darling, I will be loving you 'til we're 70 And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23 And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe just the touch of a hand Well, me—I fall in love with you every single day And I just wanna tell you I am So honey now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart I'm thinking out loud That maybe we found love right where we are When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades And the crowds don't remember my name When my hands don't play the strings the same way I know you will still love me the same 'Cause honey your soul could never grow old, it's evergreen And, baby, your smile's forever in my mind and memory I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe it's all part of a plan Well, I'll just keep on making the same mistakes Hoping that you'll understand But, baby, now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart Thinking out loud That maybe we found love right where we are So, baby, now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Oh, darling, place your head on my beating heart I'm thinking out loud That maybe we found love right where we are Oh, baby, we found love right where we are And we found love right where we are
